Tom & Jerry Mouse Hunt GBC
Tom and Jerry: Mouse Hunt was one of Full Fat’s earliest projects, and the first in which we coded the entire game ourselves. The company started several years earlier as a graphics & art production house, but quickly grew to create entire games, starting with Tom & Jerry.

It’s a fast paced action/puzzle game in which the two beloved characters compete to capture mice as Tom, or rescue them as Jerry. It’s surprisingly reminiscent of the Dreamcast classic, ChuChuRocket, but with more free-form gameplay rather than the grid-based movement system used in that game.

Check out a video of the first level below and soak in all of the nostalgic Game Boy Color sounds!

Don’t forget to check out our new games too! Especially Agent Dash, an awesome spy game inspired by the running & jumping action of the retro games we all love. Download it for free!

#TBT: Pac-Man World 2 (GBA, 2002)

It’s Throwback Thursday! Check out a classic for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance.

Don’t forget to play some of our recent hits, like Agent Dash, too!

Pac-Man World 2 for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance

No mazes, but Pac-Man still chased Ghosts & grabbed Power Pellets

Full Fat started out in the late nineties, working on raft of big gaming franchises, especially on Nintendo consoles. Pac-Man World 2 was released by Namco in 2002 on all of the major games platforms available at the time. We created the Game Boy Advance version.

Check out this TV spot for the game, which uses PlayStation 2 footage.

The project’s big challenge was to match the 3D platforming of the PS2, Xbox & GameCube versions of the game within the much more limited GBA hardware. A compromise was made to create a 2.5 platformer, in which Pac-Man moves through the level from left-to-right, but he can also step up and down the screen, into the foreground & background.

Pac-Man is an iconic character, and the Saturday morning cartoon style looked fantastic on the GBA’s small screen. Inspired by the original arcade game, we gave this new adventure a bright & colourful personality. Pac-Man is loved throughout the world and it was a pleasure for our studio to work on several games in the series.
